I am Mrs. Pearson. I have been teaching for 25 years. I spent nine years teaching 7th grade reading and English at Central Middle School, and I taught kindergarten at Rock Springs Elementary for 16 years. I have a B.S. in Education from Tennessee Tech University with an emphasis in kindergarten through 8th grade learning. I received my Masters and Educational Specialist Degrees in Administration and Supervision from MTSU.
I am married to Christian, my wonderful husband for almost 23 years. We have two children. Zac is 21 and beginning his junior year in college at Austin Peay. He has attended MTSU, Calhoun Community College, and Austin Peay on baseball scholarships as a pitcher. Madi Lee is 15. She is beginning her sophomore year of high school at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro. She plays volleyball and participates with New Vision Baptist’s youth group. We have one dog, Hank. He is five years old and the love of our lives! We live in Murfreesboro and attend New Vision Baptist Church. We spend a lot of time traveling to baseball fields watching Zac pitch as well as Madi Lee "set" for her school and club volleyball teams. In my spare time, I enjoy walking with Hank and working in my flower gardens.
This year is going to be a lot different for all of us! You will be learning from home. And, this will be my second time teaching remotely, but the FIRST time I will be teaching 4th grade! I chose to teach a kindergarten class on-line last year mainly because I have breast cancer. I am still doing chemo for breast cancer. Additionally, I knew that many students and parents would need access to someone who understands their unique situation as to why they chose virtual learning. As we all navigate this new path, I ask that we work together as a TEAM with patience and understanding for the best interest of all our students and personal situations. I look forward to meeting all my new kiddos and parents soon.
